Tinubu To Sue Media Companies For false Reporting and Character Assassination.

Published

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, has pledged to sue some media outlets for alleged false news and character assassination

Due to an alleged drug trafficking case that was allegedly handled in the United States, Tinubu claimed that the media organizations were trying to destroy his reputation.

In a message posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, Bayo Onanuga, the director of media and publicity for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, promised to file a lawsuit “sooner rather than later” on the situation.

In a message posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, Bayo Onanuga, the director of media and publicity for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, promised to file a lawsuit “sooner rather than later” on the situation.

Following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) refusal of looking into a criminal case against Tinubu, Onanuga made his comments.

He said that media outlets—but not Vanguard—were being paid to promote untrue information on Tinubu by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Labour Party, LP presidential aspirants, Abubakar Atiku and Peter Obi, respectively.

He stated, “All those people spreading fake news and assassinating the character of Asiwaju Tinubu will meet us in court sooner than later.

“You have all thrown professionalism and objectivity to Jabi Lake because you are playing the script of your master puppeteers, Atiku and Peter Obi. The height of your shenanigans today was the wide use of a fake INEC statement,” he said.

Remember that during the week, records describing a financial forfeiture through the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois appeared to be connected to Tinubu’s suspected narcotics trafficking.

However, the records included no mention of Tinubu being tried or of his interactions with drug trafficking organizations. Additionally, the paperwork indicated that the lawsuit was resolved some 30 years ago.

According to the newspaper, the incident resulted in Tinubu’s seizure of $460,000 from one of the 10 accounts connected to the former governor of Lagos state.

The forfeiture, according to Tinubu’s campaign, was caused by unpaid taxes on money that went to the candidate for the ruling party.
