I won’t Support Peter Obi And I’ve Warned Him To Withdraw – Arthur Eze

Published

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has recently made headlines. He is either being applauded, encouraged, or blamed for trying to move Nigeria from consumption to production.

Prince Arthur Eze, a rich businessman of Anambra descent, criticized Obi’s ambition to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari as president of Nigeria in 2023 yesterday.

Speaking at the 2022 Ofala festival Eze claimed that he had advised Obi to give up his goal but that he had not listened.

He added that after listening to him mention the number of states he believed he would win, he counseled Obi to hold off until the next time.

His Statements:

“I warned Peter Obi to withdraw from this race but he would not listen. I told him plainly that I am not part of his plans. I told him to drop his ambition, and wait for next time.

“When he told me about his ambition, I asked him the states he thinks he can win in the west and in the north – he told me; but I was not convinced. I told him he cannot not win; so that he would not waste his time and money.”
